Founded by Russell Whitlock in 1982 and he remains a consultant. The firm is now owned by Nigel Bedford and specialises in both the sale and letting of residential property throughout West Cornwall.

Having experienced estate agency within a corporate network, both in the Home Counties and Cornwall, our management has a strong belief in the ability of the small independent estate agency to offer the exceptional quality of service that property owners rightly demand, from experienced and professional staff - a level of service which is essential to ensure success in the current uncertain market conditions. Nigel Bedford - Proprietor

After several years in the Regular Army, serving in The Light Infantry, Cornwall's County regiment, Nigel became an estate agent in 1979. After specialising in country house sales in the south-east of England he moved back down to Cornwall in 1996 and was based in Truro, before taking over Whitlocks. He lives west of Penzance in a cottage owned by his family since the 19th Century.

Fleur Carpenter - Lettings Manager

The manager of Whitlock's busy Lettings Department, Fleur has a B.Sc (Hons) from UWE Bristol and has been with the firm since 2007. She lives in Penzance and has extensive experience of dealing with the specialist needs of both the landlord and tenant.

Christine Good - Office Manager

After eighteen years with Whitlocks and having lived the vast majority of her life in the Penzance area, Christine has unrivaled local knowledge, not only of the area and the local people, but of property valuation, lettings and the various quirks of the Cornish market.

Michelle Mills - Residential Sales

Similarly, Michelle is Penzance born and bred and also has a wide local knowledge, which is particularly valuable not only to our clients, but also to our buyers and tenants.
