Treverven Cottage is situated in a particularly beautiful part of south-west Cornwall, between Penzance and Land's End, near Penberth Cove, where any properties very seldom come onto the open market. The property is approximately a quarter of a mile from the coast in a small sheltered wooded valley and about two miles from the village of St. Buryan where there is a parish church, public house, post office, garage and convenience store. Penzance, the largest town in West Cornwall, is approximately seven miles distant and has all the facilities one would expect of such a town and is also on the main London railway line (Paddington approx. 5 hours) and it also has a 'bus terminal and active port. West Cornwall is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is renowned for its sandy coves, surfing beaches, coastal walks and internationally renowned attractions, which include St. Michael's Mount, the Minack clifftop theatre and the Tate Gallery at St. Ives.
Treverven Cottage is a classic Victorian granite detached cottage which, during the latter half of the twentieth century, was extended and updated. In the 1990s the roof was replaced with slate and the drainage system was re-laid, whilst in 2006 re-wiring, re-plumbing, new oil-fired central heating system and extensive internal renovation was carried out. The house overlooks a south-facing lawned garden which is bounded by a stream and backs onto woodland which provides a high degree of privacy. There is a granite outhouse and hardstanding next to the house with space for parking three cars. Treverven Cottage, although dating from Victorian times, has never been on the open market before – a reflection on the rarity of available period cottages in this part of Cornwall.

To the side of the house is parking for three cars and there is a further gated access which has not been used for many years. The gardens are planted with a variety of shrubs, including holly, fan palm, fruiting banana, achea, ferns and other succulent species which can survive in this sheltered valley.
